The greatest concert film I have seen.

My favourite concert film ever,filmed when they couldn't have been more popular,especially in the States. Filmed at Madison Square Gardens in New York. And trust me I have seen that place and it is Huge. A concert that is wisely known as their best live performance,although others will disagree. They were in the prime of their lives. A band so famous even Cameron Crowe's Biopic Almost Famous,is hinted that it was Led Zeppelin he was following,whilst reporting for Rolling Stone Magazine,not the fictional band that is actually in the film. Led Zeppelin's music is timeless and all the classics are on here from Whole Lotta Love, Stairway To Heaven,Moby Dick, Rock And Roll, No Quarter, The Song Remains The Same, Black Dog,and Bron-Yr-Aur. A must buy DVD for any fan, but also a great film to show to new comers, just how good a band they are. VHS 2 Safe Haven segment directed by Gareth Evans

Although the whole film VHS 2 is not apocalyptic,the third segment is, and directed by the fabulous Gareth Evans,the most talented Welsh man living in Indonesia. The director and writer of the Raid 1 and 2. Well he outdid himself again with this section,also written by him. About a documentary team being giving permission to film,and interview this leader of a doomsday cult in Indonesia. Although he is a little strange,the film crew have no idea what will be in-store for them later,including the pregnant producer of the crew. Yes it is subtitled,does it take away the enjoyment,no it does not, it is without doubt one of the scariest piece of cinema,and one of the best of the recent found footage films. You have a genuine sense of dread,whilst watching,with a very claustrophobic edge,as a viewer,even you are not quite sure what is happening before your eyes,and your equally confused,and terrified at the same time. A must watch, the whole film on a whole is so much better than the firs...

I came across this the other day clearing out a cupboard, well cleaning I was really looking for something, as I recently gone retro and purchased myself a working VCR, to go with my Laserdisc player, in my spare room, or I'm calling it my retro room, alongside my PS2 and Nintendo SNES, still looking for a decent working Megadrive, anyhow I came across this, in a limited edition VCR boxset, with a film stills, a copy of the original book, and obviously the VCR and I watched it for old times sake the other day. Apart from the grainy images, which to be honest I like, and the reason I'm going backwards with film quality, I forgot what a great film this was, and being almost 19 years young how good it was, from the direction from Taylor Hackford, the visuals, the outstanding performance of Al Pacino, even the wooden Keanu Reeves was half decent in this, and will say it is in my top 5 Keanu Reeves performances, with Speed, The Matrix, Constantine and John Wick my only other notable...
