Plot summary.

After an unknown viral outbreak at an elderly care home, it is soon apparent that something isn't right, with an army quarantine on this small Danish town, forcing all residents to remain in their houses, with strict rules to follow.

Just seen this movie by Bo Mikkelsen a very different take on the Zombie genre told from the point of view of just one family, stuck in their home after an unknown outbreak affects this small town. With the CDC moving in, and an army quarantine around the whole town, with anyone attempting to leave their homes will be shot on sight. With their homes put in total darkness by black covers on the Windows, and rations of water and dried dehydrated food delivered daily, the family have to make a decision to stay in their homes, or make a break for it outside, not knowing what is really going on, as it is apparent the news agencies are clearly lying to them what is really happening.

We have this Danish film that in just the 75 minute run time, gives more heart,emotion, and scares that the entire series of Fear The Walking Dead has tried to achieve in three seasons.

With my only criticism of this film is wanting it to be longer, as the first third is the usual character development, the second is the feeling of isolation, tension, and claustrophobia, and the fear of the Unknown, that are we being told the truth from news agencies, even though chaos is happening outside, are the family safer in their home, or safer outside.

With the final third although quite brilliant is rushed, and is over in a few minutes, it isn't many films that I'm actually advocating to have a longer running time, but this film would have so much benifited from it.

Although it is still an amazing film, brilliantly acted, the tension, claustrophobia is handled so well by this director, I believe on his debut, with so many Zombie films made now since The Walking Dead, this is actually one of the better ones, and once again a non Hollywood film showing them how to do it right.

This film really impressed me, I will have to drop a star just because this film warranted just more screen time, it is easily a four star movie, but unfortunately I wanted more, so for that reason is why I'm only giving it 3/5⭐️⭐️⭐️
