After all the who har and the constant barrage of Bird Box parody videos on Twitter and You tube I had to see this film, a film my mate at work said was "shit" so I had to make up my own mind about this. Here is my opinion on it, it was actually very good, not knowing much of the story helped, and yes apart from the stupid people pretending to be blind videos I didn't do any research on this movie, to which I believe made a better viewing experience. A film that Sandra Bullock who to her credit is a great actress, this being by far her best performance I've seen her in, the normal rom com queen and comedy movies, but this gal can actually act, and my goodness she is amazing in this. Apart from firstly not knowing how to row a boat, and by the way at least a third of the movie is on the river, you can actually see her having no clue whatsoever to an accomplished rower, and this was deliberate by the director involved as he wanted to see her progression so all th

The Crooked Man (2016) film review. Directed by Jesse Holland. A SYFY movie, R Rated running time 87 minutes.

There was a crooked Man and he walked a crooked mile. He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse, And they all lived together in a little crooked house. This 2016 film based on the old saying above, the bogeyman who appears if it is sang out loud, this SYFY TV movie is all I can say is definitely a poor mans Babadook, a film without any scares, tension, and every scare is just about borrowed from the film Lights Out with the Crooked Man always in darkness. With terrible acting to boot, and a dismal script, the film is dreadful I'm afraid, such a shame as it could have been a very good movie, if it had just learnt a few things from Jennifer Kent's The Babadook, as the Crooked Man is quite a good character, who moves in that disturbing flickering type of way, with the clicking of bones as he moves. Got these two films the other day

If your a resident in the U.K. like myself the hype around this actor has been unbelievable, Born in Derbyshire East Midlands at the ripe old age of 24 LOL he has been getting a lot of attention recently. Started off playing a troubled teen in the U.K T.V series called skins. He even starred in the Director debut of Angelina Jolie's Unbroken 2014 a world war 2 story about survival, resilience, redemption, or so the tag line on film poster says. The Actor I'm talking about is Jack O'Connell. I saw these films on offer at my local supermarket, or the American equivalent Wallmart at a bargain price and I had to see what all the hype was all about. One is called Starred Up, a prison drama based in a tough prison, when a troubled teen gets sentenced to not a young offenders institution, but to an adult prison, purely on his behaviour, and constance rule breaking, and violent behaviour. Now in all honesty I have not watched this one yet, but I did sit down to watch '71. S
